After the recent sell off the market is now offering a number of attractive investment opportunities. In addition to that, with the latest dispositions made the portfolio’s cash position is currently above 20%. Hence, it seems to make sense to take the chance and add some companies of good quality to the portfolio.
From today on, I will buy a 3% position in Rolls-Royce Holdings with a limit price of 695 pence per share. Moreover, I will also accumulate a 3% position in Houston Wire & Cable Company with a limit of USD 6.85 per share. Both investments will be covered in separate posts where I will outline the investment case.

Greetings,
Curious to know the thesis on HWCC. I have not followed it closely but passingly have looked at comp WIRE. WIRE is better run but also does not seem a good bargain here. I would think buying much below book would be a better bet or when the industry has turned for better. Do you think a quick recovery for the industry?
Adib,
Thanks for your comment. It is definitely a contrarian bet, but buying when the industry has turned is often too late. From a portfolio perspective I do not have that much exposure to this sector, so I can handle the uncertainty.
Cheers
Ben
